Henry and his team did an excellent job rebuilding the large timber front verandah of my house. I look forward to working with them again, and I recommend them without hesitation.In detail...I was on the roof of the front verandah of my 1920s house, cleaning gutters, when a tile sank under my foot. A rafter had detached from its beam. The end of the rafter was rotten. Looking around, I saw rotten timber everywhere. The gutters and downpipes were also in poor repair.I asked friends for recommendations for carpenters and did my own research. I found Henry on the web.I got three quotes. I chose Henry's. It was by far the most detailed and included items not mentioned in the others.I had to postpone the start date for several months. Henry was fine with this and honored his original quote. As the start date approached, heavy rain was forecast for several days ahead. Henry kept an eye on the weather, kept me informed, and started work as soon as the rain cleared.The work progressed quickly with good communication and without incident. On the occasions I spoke to workers onsite, they were consistently friendly and professional.During this time, Cooper & Oxley suspended trade, severely impacting Henry's business. Progress on my site did not miss a beat. Henry was onsite at my house at 7 am the morning after the C&O news broke.This project involved many technical challenges. One example: the bases of the original posts were rotten. Rather than replace the entire posts, which would have been prohibitively expensive, Henry and his team trimmed the bases and spliced on new timber. The result is seamless; a testament to the team's skill, especially as the posts are tapered.My house looks unchanged, except that the old materials and finish have been replaced and renewed. This is important in the heritage" area I live in

HJW repaired our sash windows that were painted shut and hadn't been used in years. They used the seal a sash method and they now glide open and closed with only one finger to use. Amazing service and great guys too. Highly recommended.

Henry and the boys worked on my Bali style project in Subiaco. There worked involved constructing a large Alfresco area. I highly recommend them. The work didn't deviate from budget and I was so happy with the end product.
